SolidWorks 2007

Hi Guys,

I wanted to ask if anyone has had any experience with packaing Solidworks 2007?
I got handed this a while back but due to the backlog of software that needed to be packaged. I only got round to it now.

I'm having problems specifically with the "Cosmos" part of the install.
All the msi's are there but I can't seem to create a "response transform"
Everytime I try I get the error message saying that "Solidworks must be installed before Cosmos can be installed"
I've actually installed solidworks onto my machine hoping that this would fix the problem.
But It's still giving me the same error message.

Has anyone got any work arounds this?
And yes I'm still very new to packaging too *sighs*

Thanks again everyone

Cheers,

Berry

Can anyone guess what I'm about to recommend? :)

Use ProcMon to monitor which file/registry key(s) th einstaller is testing to determine the installed state of Cosmos. This tool is just about the most heavily-used in my packaging amoury and will save your a$$ more times than you can know. It's freeware from www.sysinternals.com (now subsumed into the MS hedgemony)

What a brilliant idea...
