Software not removing from GPO via AD

This relates to Macromedia Contribute 3.1 -

This is all a bit after the horse has bolted - it's already gone out to 80 PC's - but i'm curious to know if anyone else has encountered this problem - if not with Contribute 3 then with any other deployed msi.

The msi has been extracted to an Admin install.

The software is assigned to computers within an OU and is set to uninstall when it falls out of scope.

The .msi deploys fine and runs within a lockdown environment.

The security is set the same as all my other software GPO's so there shouldn't be an issue on that front.

However, when the policy is deleted from the OU the software starts to remove managed software (as it should) but hangs until you turn the PC off.[:@]
On restart of the PC the same thing happens. The only way i've managed to remove the msi from a client is to remove the network lead to get to the logon prompt and then manually remove the msi via add\remove programs and Windows Install Clean Up!

Validation of the .msi reveals many errors, but more worringly two 'failures':

ICE03 Failure ICE Internal Error 1149. API Returned: 1615.

ICE03 Failure Error 2228: C:\DOCUME~1\0144\LOCALS~1\Temp\ismA7.tmp, _FtrRef, SELECT `Table`, `Column` FROM `_FtrRef` WHERE `Table` = 'ModuleSignature' AND `Column` = 'ModuleID'

I've looked these up but, as usual, have no information to help me and have little idea how to rectify these errors.

Any advice or help would be appreciated.
