Software distribution
Hi There,
Im new to this forum. Hope can someone assist me. I have a problem whenever i distribute an application to the client, the package not seem to arrive at the client site. I've checked under the reporting and search by the advertisement id, its shows error :
"The program for advertisement "H0120000 has not yet started because the content for the package "Y0100001" - "Uninst Adobe Reader 6.0.1" (version 3) has not been acquired. Possible cause: The content for this program must be downloaded into the computer’s cache, or the content could not be located. Solution: If the program is being downloaded, no action is required. The program will start once the download has been successfully completed. If the content can not be located, ensure that a distribution point with this content is available for this computer."
any application i send, i get this error mesage. but i can remote control and inventory. Can send assist me on this.

To avoid this kind of problems, i'll advise you to use desktop management solutions.

Thanks for you your reply. Let me explain to you my situation, im working for a compnay A and we are providing IT support for company B. This company B purchased SMS 2003. innitialy, company B was using Tivoli and now they have migrated to SMS 2003. We are providing IT supporrt globally. basicly its a Helpdesk enviroment. the local IT people in company B have setup & configured the SMS server and so on. We in Company A having difficuluties to distribute a package. We get connected to Company B's network via TS (RDC).
Hope this gives you some idea what exactly im facing here.
