SmartDraw 2013 Packaging with License ? Please Help
I am new to Packaging. Can anyone please tell me how to package the .exe file of SmartDraw 2013 ..I tried creating the .msi file of the application but it is not capturing the license key .If anyone has already worked on this package please give me the tips to work on this application
I tried to install it silently but it will pop up with the license key message and I am unable to suppress the message. This is the first time i am packaging a License Key software . Please share your suggestions like where to search for the license key in which Registry files or folders. I am confused please help me

setup.exe /s /v"SERIALNUM=SERIAL-NUMBER-HERE /qb!"
/qb! - With basic progress bar and no cancel button if you prefer

Hey,
I tried the solution mentioned by jagadeish, but i dont have setup.msi to edit with Orca. I tried creating the .msi of exe file and editing with Orca by giving SERIALNUM property but it is not accepting.How to create setup.msi from setup.exe ? only thru repackaging or any other method?
I tried the above command too but it is again popping up with same serialnum message and we have to manually give the serial number.Please help me

MSI is sometimes compressed inside that setup.exe. Try to extract it using 7-zip or similar or run an admin like this command: setup.exe /a and see if you get lucky. It also put temporary files so you can also check them. - dj_xest 9 years ago

I checked in temp folder , stopped the services but it is still working fine so there is no hidden MSI in the exe. If anyone want to see the file i can share the folder with you so you can check n let me know what to do.. - anu5ha 9 years ago

Yes I am sure that I am not using the installer. Got the software from vendor .
When i package the software from one VM machine and test it , it is working fine and not asking the serial number but i test it in another VM machine the license key is missing. So basically it is working only on the packaged machine.
What do I have to change if I want to make it work on all Machines ?

This could be very tricky depending on how the vendor setup that serial number key. Is there any chance yo can get a command line from them so you can use it for your deployment? - dj_xest 9 years ago
