What makes you think the process would be different for a single file as opposed to many? If you're capturing, you would simply take the place of the vendor's installation program, i.e. start recording, create the target folder structure, drop the file into the intended folder, then end your recording.

Put exe (to requested path) in the ISM template (if you are using installshield) and build it.
