Silent Uninstall

Hello List,

Can someone recomend a package which will allow me to capture all of the actions that are required to uninstall a piece of software that I have on a WINDOWS NT 4 network. The software that has been installed is a mix between disk installations and network installations.

I require something that will record the following and bundle it all into a batch file:

uninstall all files that were installed
Delete all shortcuts
Restore all registry settings

The actual package that I want to uninstall is MapInfo. I do not think this is important though. As long as I can capture the sactions specified I beieve that I will be ok.

If anyone can help out here I would be grateful.

Thanks,

Dave King

Dave,

Wise Package Studio's Setup Capture configuration has a "Detect Deleted Files and Registry keys" option, this could be used to create an MSI that (with a little tidying up) would remove everything you're looking for...
