Shortcuts fails with Access Denied errorCode:4625DD4-14200C2A-00000005

Hello,

Created a virtual package with App-V 4.6SP1 sequencer and uploaded manually on my test machine(App-V 4.6 client installed) using Commandline(sftmime command).
All the shortcuts launch with the current user(which is used to load the package). But all shortcuts fails with "Access Denied error" when i logoff and login as any other user(even other admin).

Kindly advice.

  • Have you checked the shortcut properties for any values that are directly linked to the 'installing' user's profile. In fact, what diagnostic steps have you taken so far? - EdT 9 years ago

Have a look in the OSD file and see if you have a weird working directory for the shortcut. Like a network drive...

Take a look at the error codes on this site - http://www.app-v.info/app-v_error_codes.html - and see if the links from there ring any bells.

I've also seen a similar message when the user account used to load the package doesn't have the correct privileges to publish/load - which would explain why it works for the loading user account.

Hope that helps,
Dunnpy
