Scripting via K1000

Hi All,

As part of my scripted installation i want to make changes to the OS automatically, thus using command line or scripting instead of using the GUI.

I have a small list of bits and was wondering if anyone knows if it is possibale and if so the correct commands to use.

-Enabling remote desktop
-disabling remote assistance
-removing windows components-notably games
-removing language bar from desktop
-deleting favs and links from IE7
-Changing windows explorer settings

Thanks in advance

Mike

You don't need to use the K1000 for this; you should use post-installation tasks in the K2000. Do some Google searching and you should be able to find VBS or command line details for all of the items you've listed. They are all very common post-install changes for Windows, in general.

All of those can be done via the K1000 or K2000; what OS are you doing this for?

its going to be used on the windows xp platform, would have helped if i put that!

i'm not really too fussed which one i use at the moment. I just want to get the scripts working without using Kace and then once i know it works i will add it to kace, either via a post install task on the k2000 or scripting via the k1000.

Thanks
