SAP Active Component Framework
I've been having problems when trying to do a silent install for the Active Component Framework for SAP. I took a look at the Package Knowledge Base for SAP Active Component Framework 6.x, but I am not able to get things to work.
We have SAP 6.40 patch 21 installed as just a client install. I'd like to deploy ACF to all of our machines via a batch file that I can call through LANDesk. However, when testing the syntax:
setup\SAPSetup.exe /product="ACF" /silent
I am unable to get the Active Component Framework to install. My questions are:
1) Where should the xACF_NW04s_SP12.exe be located for running this command line? Should it be in the same directory as the SAPSetup.exe is located?
Also, the Package Knowledge Base says that you can "Run xACF_NW04_SP19.exe /detach=xACF.cab" which will unpack the resulting xACF.cab and you have the install source.
2) Is this something I need to do before running the command line above? I've had no luck with this also. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
