RTA VB.NET 1.5.1
HI All,
I am having an issue with uninstalling an application which throws up "error 1605 This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." I would normally suggest that the application was not present and had been removed before, was not installed in the first place or conflicting product code etc. Unfortunately not the case here :( I have investigated this and the log file is as below from USD (CA):
=== Verbose logging started: 27/09/2006 14:20:57 Build type: SHIP UNICODE 3.01.4000.2435 Calling process: C:\Program Files\CA\Unicenter Software Delivery\BIN\SDMSIEXE.EXE ===

The code given ({3a075ed7-81a7-45d5-b08b-602f60dec2ef}) is actually a component code from the application. The component seems to be empty, no files/reg/shortcuts etc The application will uninstall from the command line without issue and has been tested on multiple machines. The error only occurs when we try to remove it from USD using the CA deployment tool(Unicenter). This is a vendor MSI. Any ideas? Cheers in advance

This does sound, on the face of it, like an SDO issue - though my knowledge of SDO is *very* limited. In SDO, do you have the option of viewing any uninstallation details - if so, maybe the information held there is incorrect / corrupt (component GUID instead of the Product Code) (?)
Have you tried unregistering and then reregistering your MSI into SDO ? If memory serves me right there is a wizard, (Register MSI Package wizard) to do this.
Apologies in advance if you already checked this angle.
