Repair via Shortcut Vs Add/Remove different
Hello,
Here is the situation.
1. My Msi points to homefolder --> I redirected to AppDatafolder
2. This App has default profile setting in the menu --> I changed this value to point to AppDataFolder by changing the value in the registry
Ok, i) Installation is fine ii) Active setup is fine iii) default profile is read from Appdatafolder.
Here is the problem. During the repair process.
1. Add/Remove : works fine.
2. Shortcut : works fine but it repairs folder/files under HomeFolder (not all the folders but duplicated with AppDatafolder)
Q1) why is it working differently?
Q2) where can I find key or settings or something that trigger repair process to create files in HomeFolder? OR disable to that component being repaired(user part data)
Thanks in deed. ( I spent 10 days... fix one thing then anothe come up and even follow me in the dream......................
