removing existing dialog from exe
Repackaged an exe, tested, noticed an initial dialog momentarily appearing as the app started. The dialog is titled "Initializing InstallShield Wizard." Thought this was something I did during the repackaging process, but the same thing happens from the vendor's exe.
Just wondering if this would be something I could possibly remove from my MSI for the sake of prettiness, or if it's not worth the time to bother. The app itself functions just fine.

Are you sure the EXE doesn't extract an MSI on execution? If not, why just re-package it?
To answer your question, you can't remove the dialog simply. You *might* have some success in using one of the IS-cracking tools (not that I ever have) or [whispers] download a trial version of AdminStudio (set aside a few hours for the install - to describe it as 'glacial' is being kind...) and open the EXE's extracted project file. The MSIs resulting from this exercise can be a bit messy (feature and component names are odd, from what I remember) but functional.
