remote install of the KACE agent

Hello,

I need to install the KACE agent to several macines remotely.  I have tried the provisioning tool, but it continues to give me an authentication failure.  Please advise if there is another way.

  • The best way to do this is by GPO...

Or if you want to do it as a one off from your computer, there is PSExec.
This is not the cleanest way but something like this should work...
Put this in a bat and drop the agent and PSexec into the same folder.

    :Begin
    CD %~dp0
    set /p Input=Enter computer name:
    Copy ampagent-7.1.62-x86.msi \\%Input%\c$\Programdata\ /y
    PSexec.exe \\%Input% -s msiexec /qn /i C:\Programdata\ampagent-7.1.62-x86.msi HOST=aerocare.panasonic.aero ARPSYSTEMCOMPONENT=1
    pause
Goto Begin - Desktop Jockey 6 years ago

I also had problems recently with deploying

agents. in my Kace it was after an update

to version 7 of the k1.

Follow the link below and follow the instructions

in the article.

Should sort you out.
