Reflections X 14 with SP5
I'm working on packaging "Reflections X 14" and the vendor install appears to be clean. I'm using Wise Studio to create an MST for the vendor supplied MSI.
What happens is it appears to be installing just fine, but noticed it copies some files into the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Templates folder.
When I created my MST and ran the install it works just fine, but noticed those files are no longer copied to the " C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Templates folder." All is installed with the exception of these files. I looked into the MSI properties table and found "ALLUSERS" is set to 2. Which means "Per-Machine" which seems to be ideally what I want.
I found a couple of websites that I thought was going to help but verified my setting were correct.
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa372069.aspx
http://makemsi-manual.dennisbareis.com/system_folder_properties.htm
The TEMPLATE folder is a hidden folder in the All Users directory and it was requested by the department to change the permissions on the folders that are being copied there. But unfortunately, my package does not copy the folders and files there.
Also I looked into Directory Table and noticed "TemplateFolder" is set to "Windows\ShellNew" I added my own "Feature Set" and drop some folders to the "Windows\Shell\Templates" and "Windows\Profiles\All Users\Templates, but still no luck.
Any ideas?

I just discovered the problem. We have a CustomAction we created and apply with a macro we created with Wise Studio.
I went back and created the MST with wise without running this macro and everything installed just fine. I know wise likes to dump a lot of table of it's own in the MST. I'll just have to go in and use Orca or InstEdit to apply the some of the macros manually which will hopefully work.
I'll post if it works, sorry for the false flag.
