Recommended Uninstall Method via K1000

We are looking to remove two pieces of software from all of our laptops and desktops. The two pieces of software are Cisco Productivity Tools and Cisco WebEx Meetings. We are now a Teams shop and decommissioning our on-premise Cisco WebEx Meetings Server. The original installers are both MSIs; ptools.msi and onpremmc.msi.

What would be a good method to use to remove both pieces of software, silently from the users' desktops and laptops? I'm thinking scripts that run a batch file? We are running a K1000 version 10.2. Most of the clients are Win10 but there are also a small number of Win7 clients. The agent version is 10.2. Thanks!

Thanks!

Usually the uninstaller wizard under
Scripting | Configuration Policies |Uninstaller would be the best option.

You can also create a Managed Install with the installer for Uninstallation ( msiexec /X MSI.msi /qn )

Thank you for your response Nico. I've decided to go the Managed Install method. I wanted to verify with you if these settings look correct?

The Full Command is MsiExec.exe /x {A6D31EB7-4FA4-429B-BFCD-4B48E0BEE597} /qn (adjusted it).

  • nearly perfect. If you take in the full comand line /x instead of /i it should work. - Nico_K 3 years ago
