called the setup.exe through wrapper msi for Win 7.It is creating a desktop shortcut.
let me know how to remove it.VB script written works in XP but not in Win 7.
are there any properties or some registry settings.

If you're using an MSI wrapper, why not simply use the RemoveFile table and use the appropriate property (depending on whether the s/c is on the logged-in user's Desktop or on the 'All Users' Desktop) as the path?

Can I suggest? Yes, I can. Persist, because you must have made an error. Did you specify the correct path for the Desktop i.e. in the user or All Users profile?
EDIT:
Hang it. Just capture the wretched thing, making sure you follow the 'Notes' in the 'Package KB' if you want to disable certain "features". For example, you'll almost certainly want to disable auto-updates.

We solved.added a batch file in the application and executed it to remove it.
