Query on Labels in service desk


Hi All,

I'm beginner in Kace service desk.. what are the benefits of using LDAP labels or other labels in
Kace help desk implemenatation, how can labels help in customizing help desk.

LDAP labels or just labels in general can be viewed as grouping tools. Labels can be fitted with varying filters to house groups of things. By groups I mean things such as computers from a certain location, computers with a specific operating system, computers missing patches, computers that haven't be logged in a certain time, etc... By things I mean computers, users, assets, etc... You can customize your groups to your hearts desire. Now, once you made your groups (via labels) is where the power of your K1000 shines. You can use your groups to make numerous reports allowing you to see a big picture view of the state of your deployments. I am sure other Ninjas can provide you with other utilities for labels.
