Pushing software
New to gpo's. Running 2k3server with 2kp sp4 clients. Trying to push msi files. Specifically one we created using VERITAS Software for Flash 7.0. I know the MSI works as we tried installing just the msi. The question is how to use GPO with gpmc v2. I am really just looking for a breakdown explaination of what needs to be done. Some of these books are really confusing.

Ok I'll try this from memory. I have no idea how you have AD set up so its going to be pretty basic.
Open GPMC
Go to the OU that contains the machines you want the app to go to.
Create a Policy... ..Test1 will do.
Go to Edit on the policy.
Select Computer and then right click
Go to all tasks and select new Package.
Navigate to your package and select it.
Add the package and save.
Make sure the machine can see the package from either a DFS link or a share.
Thats as basic as it gets
