Project 2010 issue

Hi ,
I am trying to sequence project 2010 standard on windows 7. Everything is fine during sequencing. But when I try to deploy this to client, it opens up fine but with blank white screen instead of Grantt chart. Also many buttons are disable due to this.

I also ran Process mon to see if something is missed during sequencing but does not seem to be. Also I try to run diagnostic command window on sequencer and it works as expected.

I read on one of the post on this site that this was the same problem occurs with Project 2007. It got resolved using Local Interaction set to TRUE. But this does not seem to be working with Project 2010.

Please help if someone knows the solution of this.

Thanks in advance.

Regards
Mayur

Hello,
I am sequencing project 2010 and have rest of the office 2010 already present on the base build.
I did follow the procedure mentioned in the various blogs.

My application is not able to retrieve the product key. when i launch the project 2010 shortcut it asks for product key.
however when i launch the app while sequencing no such message comes up. This may be bcoz the license is supplied via msp file.

Kindly suggest how do we handle licensing in sequencing.

MSDN has pages and pages of stuff about sequencing Office apps. Have you tried there?

Thanks for your reply!!
The above issue is resolved by passing PIDKEY to offvirt.msi. I was under the impression that since the service is laready there on the machine we need not run that msi again. However, now am facing another issue as faced by May1981 . When i open the project application it opens up fine but with blank white screen instead of Gantt chart. Also several other buttons like Format etc does not appear. I tried Local interaction allowed - true n merged with local some of the keys. still no luck. looking for your suggestions

Did you remember to add

<POLICIES>
<LOCAL_INTERACTION_ALLOWED>TRUE</LOCAL_INTERACTION_ALLOWED>
</POLICIES>
to the OSD file?

This is a known issue when virtualising Office I believe.

EDIT: yes you did.. missed it in your post [8|]

Microsoft have released a Office 2010 Deployment Kit for App-V.

Thanks,
