Patching Domain Controllers with K1000

Does anyone know of a reason why our DCs will not patch? I have a number patch schedules where everything else patches fine, but DCs always show "error (Handshake Failed)"

  • Can you provide any more info? Is there more detailed error info in the logs (usually "c:\ProgramData\Dell\KACE\konea.log")?

    Also - are you using SSL connections with your agents? This seems to be a common source of weird errors.
    • Hi Eric, we do have SSL enabled, but not enforced.

      I'll try to have a look at those logs and see if I can spot something.

      I will assume from your reply that DCs should be able to be patched?
      • As far as I know, there's nothing that would prevent this, though I can't speak from experience - We use KACE primarily for workstations, our DCs are managed by a different system.
