Patch failure for Win 7 patch on Win 8
I have noticed that patch MIS12-042 (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2711167) has been showing up as a Detect Failure on my Windows 8 machines. The problem is that this patch is not for Windows 8, it is only for WIndows 7 and Server 2008.
My patch schedule is a pretty vanilla setup, with computers assigned by label based on location, and Operating Systems set to all. There are lots of other patches in the catalogue for Windows 7 which do not apply to Windows 8, but these do not show up as detect failures on Win 8 machines. Is there a way to get this one to stop showing up as a failed detection?
