Package installs then doesn't!

Hi

You'll have to excuse me if i'm being a bit dim here but i'm self tought and inexperienced at this [:)]
I have created an admin install of the Microsoft personal folder backup plugin for Outlook and this works perfectly when manually running the MSI (i.e. it installs, adds the Backup option to the file menu and performs the backup when told to).
However, when installing the MSI through GPO no files are installed and neither are the reg entries yet the package is listed in add/remove programs.

Unfortunately I don't have access to edit the GPO so am a stalemate with the lad who does.
He's saying it is my package but as mentioned above it does work.
I have no idea how to progress this from here.

Please help me. Before this really does drive me insane.

Many many many thanks in advance.

Matt

Never used GPO to deploy - but under what context does it install the application?

If it installs under a different user context (i.e. not the user on the machine) and if all the files are user specific/user profile files then the application will need to repair before they appear for your user.
I presume there is no advertised shortcuts for this as its a plugin. If I'm right you'll need to use active setup for it to repair for each user that logs into the machine.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
