Software Deployment

Currently i use novell snapshots and add scripts into the console one application objects.
However i am increasingly coming across problem applications that i will need to create msi / mst files for first. Can anyone suggest a simple program to use for this ? I am busy maintaining the network/ configing switches etc most of the time so i dont have the spare time to learn a complicated package.

Also has anyone come up with a solution for programs that require usb dongles ? I can create 100% working snapshots for these products e.g. cubase however the application objects only run under the vmware workstation image i created the snapshot on, as soon as i deploy the app obj to a workstation it fails to recognise the usb dongel since they seem to create unique registry keys each time.
