Oval Scan report behavior

Hi all,

I ran an oval scan on my domain a few hours ago.
In the "run now" page, I can see that it succeeded on 174 machines already.

But when I go to security=>oval scan=>show device compliance, I only see 35 machine reports.
A few minutes ago, there were much more report, but it seems to have been erased or hidden in some way.
How can I force the report to stay in the list? I don't want them to be erased except if I rerun an oval scan, then it should supersede it.

Thanks in advance.

Do you see any messages under the Server logs?

  • Hi. Thank you for replying.
No, no error or anything related to oval scan. The only thing is the download of the new oval definition during the night (so not at all when the computer began to disappear from my report). - schpounts 5 years ago

If you go to the OVAL Scan Summary page under Reporting > Show summary results, and you have no reports in there, it will say

No OVAL results available: Results are deleted when OVAL definitions are updated.

As far as I know, there's no way to change that.  You can request the ability to keep reports at KACE's Uservoice page:

  • Seriously? it's not a bug, but a feature?
    That's a very strange behavior.
Thanks for the information, I'll request it via the uservoice. - schpounts 5 years ago
