Oracle 11gR2 64 bit Client silent installation

So i'm trying to install Oracle 11g62 64 bit Client on my WIN7 & i have created a response file & my response file looks like this

Command Line using to install this

"C:\Users\someuser\Desktop\Oracle 11gR2 64 bit Client\setup.exe" -silent -waitforcompletion -noconsole -force -responseFile "C:\Users\someuser\Desktop\Oracle 11gR2 64 bit Client\response\custom.rsp" -ignorePrereq -ignoreSysPreReqs -ignoreDiskWarning 

 

This doesn't even generate a log file anywhere. Can someone please tell me what am i doing wrong? Please advise

Try it without the -silent and -noconsole switches and see if will step through with your selections correctly.

 

Also check your .rsp for a 'FROM_LOCATION' this will have picked up the full path from the source you created it from. Use the example above that section to make it a relative path.

Without changing it, it will only install successfully if you install it from the same location that you created the .rsp from.

Thanks but 'FROM_LOCATION'  is no longer valid for 11g R2 64bit client. I was able to install under the root but trying to change, ORACLE_HOME & ORACLE_BASE to C:\Progra~1 but it's not working. Any advise on this guys? Simply trying to install Oracle 11g R2 under Program files & I've tried Progra~1, %ProgramFiles% & also quoted them still no success. I know for sure this worked in 10g & 9i
