Oracle 10G Base & Patch Install

I am installing Oracle 10G Base and Patch through a response file and it seems to give me the Error saying. The machines already has Oracle8 & Oracle9.

" SEVERE:OUI-10133:Invalid staging area. There are no top level components for Windows NT, Windows 2000 available for installation in this staging area."

This is how my log looks like under C:\Program Files\Oracle\inventory\Logs. Any suggestions will be appreciated guys. Thanks

Did you find a resolution to this issue? I am experiencing the same issue. I have a ticket opened with Oracle but I'm not optimistic that they will be able to resolve the issue. Their suggestion so far is to install the client off of the CD.

What Operating System (including Service Pack level, if any) are you trying to deploy to ?

It looks like java is munging the path information.
I don't know the solution as I've not worked with this patch. However, if you're going to use SMS you have to copy the entire package down and then run it. That we did discover with 10G. Since it's not an MSI anyway we didn't see any benefit in doing that, and just ran the straight Oracle silent script.

Naughty man, you should have told us you're using SMS [:D]

All the times I had this error, I had an error in the FROM_LOCATION property...
I'm not sure if blank spaces are valid in the path to the products.xml
