Office 2010 with add-in Win 7

hi all,

so i am faced with the challenge to upgrade office 2007 to office 2010 with add-ins. I was wondering what would be best practice for deployment. GPO, logon script, kbox MI, kbox script??

I also have to package add-ins with the office 2010 install but have never done that before. should this be a two part install process or should i try to make one install package for everything?

Thank you all in advance.

For the K2 i would make 2 packages, one to install office (with updates slipstreamed) and another to install my add-ins.

For the K1 i would add a pre script to remove the previous versions of office. I know office can perform in place upgrades / removals but I've seen some "funny" stuff after the upgrade.

I have only around 40 Office 2010 installed so far, they have all been upgraded via KACE and Office 2010 set to remove all the old Office stuff, so far we haven't had any problems.
We only have it as a package on the K1, and I've split it into two packages, 1 for Office(with updates etc included), and 1 for Proofing tools (we have sites in 30+ diffrend countries so we need all kind of languages, and that takes up just as much space as the acual office package)

i was thinking just to do the upgrade from the k1 instead of the uninstall/reinstall option just because its faster then after office was ungraded to 2010 to run a script from the k1 to install the add ins. ???
