Office 2007 upgrade from 2003

Hi,
I am currently rolling out Office 2007 to upgrade over 2003. This is a silent install.
I have encountered a problem though. The shortcuts seem to stay on the start menu for 2003 and if a user clicks on these shortcuts 2003 starts installing again.
Can anyone explain how to get around this?
Thanks

Mac

I'd go for a Uninstall (2003) --> Install (2007) rather than a upgrade, only because it seems like the "cleaner" thing to do.
But that's just me.. Someone else might have other ideas.

Really?
Isn't that file located within the user profile?
It shouldn't be wiped during uninstall, unless your installer is built that way?
