Office 2007 Excel Gridlines

Hello everyone,

I got our deployment down pretty good with SCCM.

We have one manager that will not let the "Excel Gridlines in printing being off by default" die!

Is there anyway we can turn the Excel gridlines on by default when users print in the deployment? Anyone else have this problem?

Thanks for any info.

Jeff

I did not see any way to set that specifically in the ORK UI, but there may be a way. This is a pretty good reference. Also, user settings are migrated by default so if your grumpy user has his printing set up that way it should stay.

I wish they would stay the same but we are upgrading from Office XP and that setting does not transfer. This manager just happens to be spearheading the project and is the only one who will not let this go.

I have a ticket in with MS but...

Hi Jeff,
things like this are best done with group policies.
An other option could be to create a config file with the integrated setup customization tool. Just type setup.exe /admin to launch it.

I'd be doing this with VBA, TBH. Record a macro and drop a template sheet containing it into his XLStart folder (or whatever MS has changed it to in 2007, which I'm guessing it has...)
