Off-Board Package Transfer to Windows Server Share?

Is it possible, or do I need to setup a ftp? I'm thinking about using the k2100 to backup images from returned pcs and then off-load them to a network share with more space.

Thanks

You can manually copy from the restore share to any Windows share, but the only automated methods are FTP, SFTP (FTP over SSH, not Secure FTP - this is a typo in the K2000), and Samba. SFTP is the only secure option.

Thanks a bunch :) I'm bringing our imaging out of the stone age and ghost 7.5.

so the answer is yes, you can offload it to a windows share since it uses samba. Something to look out for (which we are investingating now), is that complex passwords have an issue which causes the connection to fail, so for now don't use spaces or symbols in this password share.

When doing any sort of automatic off-board transfer, don't forget that files were also copied to the \\k2000\restore share also and will need to be "cleaned up" or the disk will fill up rapidly.
