[newbie] how to create 1 install file

Hi,

After reading on this website I made a good working Adobe Reader install package. Now I got just one question. How can you make it one big install file?

Because right now it's very big (76.5MB) and it has many directories and all. I just want a installer.msi and the mst file. Not 100 uncompressed files.

Yep - as always take a bakup of it all first [;)] Then using Wise for Windows Installer, open your MSI and goto the Media page (under release definition). Open the details for the media name then change the option from Uncompressed External Files to Compress files inside .MSI

Then compile and save your MSI - you should now have 1 large msi file, and would probably be best recreating your MST to account for the changes you've just made to your MSI. If your not using Wise then hopefully some Installshield guy will help you..

Hope it helps, although knowing Adobe products this will probably not be straight forward!

God luck,
Rob.

The damn program is pretty complicated.. All I get when trying the safe the file is:

Could not open file C:\WSI444.tmp, try again!

Which ofcourse is bullshit because it's just the C drive.
