There's a website called Realtimepublishers. Over there you'll find lots of interesting free ebooks. There's one ebook called The Administrator Shortcut Guide to VB Scripting for Windows. Probably this one will help you.

The other thing is lots of developer tools have there own scripting tools, languages and engines. Wise Package Studio for example uses WiseScript which is a GUI based tool to build scripts. Something like that may be easier to start with.

Hope this helps

Also check out, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=09DFC342-648B-4119-B7EB-783B0F7D1178&displaylang=en

If the links fail, do a search for: "Scriptomatic" - it's a really great WMI / vbs resource.

The other is for, 'The Scripting Guys'.

Good luck
