msiexec with limited UI
Hi All
I think it might be down to the msi I have created, but when I just run it normal it installs fine. However when I use msiexec with the msi and the /qr switch it errors with a 1406 saying it can't write to registry, no permissions. Only happens when I try and hide the dialogue boxes.
Has anyone experienced that?

Hi Luke,
most likely, when you install it silently, it will be installed as per user.
You can check this, if you get a look, where the shortcuts are placed. Per user shortcuts are created in the users start menu.
Per machine links go to the All Users profile (or ProgramData in Vista).
To make it per machine, you need to set ALLUSERS=1 on the command line.
