MS Project 2002

Hi all,

I'm deploying MS Project 2002 via AD and am experiencing reinstall problems. The app is fine apart from whenever the user logs off, when they log back on again and run Project, a reinstall occurs. Not the whole package just one of the features.

I don't think it's because I've captured any temp files, etc, because I'm using the vendor's MSI and haven't altered it at all.

Any suggestions please?

Sorry Gripper, as this is of no help.. but I'm having problems getting to this stage at all, I have Proj 02 Standard, so can't do an admin install, is this what you're using, and if so, how did you customise the vendor MSI (or Command Line to deploy),

I've used Wise to create MST, or Microsofts Resource Kit Custom install wizard, but when I try and run a silent install from either it just sits there, as though waiting for User input.

thanks,

Duncan

Have you turned on Windows Installer logging so you can look at specifically what the re-install is doing? These log files are always a good place to start.
