Missing Property Value
Can anyone help ?
I'm using InstallShield12 and creating a simple BasicMSI project.
I have a single system search that loads a public property (all uppercase) with a value from the registry.
I have a VBScript CA that prints this property value to the screen in both the UI and exec sequences, just after AppSearch.
My problem is:
If I run this installation on a machine where the logged in user has full admin rights it all works as expected.
If I run this installation on a machine with "Always Install with Elevated Privilidges" and the logged in user does not have admin rights, the property value is shown correctly in the UI sequence, but is blank in the exec sequence.
Has anyone seen this before ? Does anyone have any ideas on how I can persist a property value between the UI & exec sequences for a non-admin user ?
