Microsoft office kit question

Hi,
i'm trying to use office resource kit, in the kit is there any way i can choose just one options ( ex. microsoft word to install not all rest one's ) that can be done using resource kit ? Thanks in adavace

Yes, the ORK allows you to pick which product to install just like the Setup Installer.

vision33r is right, but you have to keep in mind
that you cannot design different pakets like standalone word, standalone excel....
and then try to install two of them to one machine, cause the msi will deinstall all but your last of these applications.
Problem is the GUID, which is from the same data1pro.msi.

I'm not sure that's correct for Office 2003. I think you can use the custom maintenance wizard to add additional components without deinstalling the original. This is a change from Office 2000 and XP.

thanks for suggestion... in xp office resource kit , i couldn't find windows where i can insert the office Key number as well check for the agreement ..... as well as in office 2003 it's there... anyone knows about tha t

I don't have Office XP resource kit loaded but in Office 2003, it's page 8 of the Custom Installation Wizard. You have to choose Configure local installation source.

If you create an adminstrative installation/share using msiexec /a, you are prompted for the key when it places the files and don't need to re-add via the mst (I think).

IN xp resource kit there is in options to add the key number.. i'm doing using editor... adding the key up there.. & it works fine...
