Software Deployment

I created a Transform and it seems to work ok as a user for me.

I used Wise Studio Package to create the Transform.

A tip there mate, dont use Captials.

As far as I remember there should be some permission set for the windows directory for users to create the partnership files.. Am I making some sense??

It does, as soon as you connect a PDA to the docking station the ActiveSync picks it up.

IS IT POSSIBLE TO SUPRESS THE ACTIVESYNC SCREEN THAT COMES UP IMMEDIATELY U LOGIN AS A NORMAL USER. SUCH THAT IT WILL COME UP ONLY WHEN THE PDA IS CONNECTED INSTEAD OF COMING UP B4 THE CONNECTION OF PDA

Not to sure on that one, as far as I know the screen only appears when you plug in the PDA

I am trying to customize the Active Sync 4.1 MSI so i can publish it via group policy and use Add/Remove programs to do it!

by downloading it and creating an admin share version of it, It will only allow local admins install it but i want normal users to install it via group policy and active directory

Any ideas what i need to do to get the msi working for normal users?

I've seen the changes needed to get power users working, does it work for normal users?
