Search the internet and you will get lots of information about it...or check the msdn website here
Also search appdeploy which has lots of info on msm's
Creation of msm's depends on your project/client, if they are open to creating new msm's then yes you can, else most of them use the already exisitng one's which can be downloaded from the internet.

Before you do any of those things, get yourself on a training course. While you're waiting for that, get hold of and read Phil Wilson's The Definitive Guide to Windows Installer.
