We are having issues installin MDAC 2.8 using SMS 2003 Advanced Client in a managed environment. After the reboot we recieve the error: "an error occured calling "DllresgisterServer" in c:\winnt\system32\msxml3.dll." (HRESULT = 80004005).
If you log in as an admin after the reboot, you do not have this issue. Unfortunately are users can not do that. All Office applications are closed as we well as killing the antivirus process.

Any Suggestions??

Hi donofin

It really is a problem, that the installation forces a reboot and that after the reboot it finalizes the installation which needs administrative rights one more time.
However, I started a thread in this forum regarding this issue a few weeks ago and got quite useful answers (didn't find the time to verify yet).
