Mark thread as solved

Hi Bob

AppDeploy.com is a great site and I really appreciate your work. Just one little proposal.
I like the feature on the Altiris Forum that you can "mark a message as the answer" which puts a tick on the thread so everyone sees if it is solved and who gave the input to.

Is this possible with the software you are using for AppDeploy?

Have a nice day

Roland

Not exactly; I do have the ability to mark an item as a FAQ which may suffice. However it is a very manual process and requires a moderator to review and deem each thread as "solved". Not too sure about this one- AppDeploy is getting about all the time I can give it right now ;)

I was actually just going to ask the same thing but I guess I will post here even though it is a few years old. Maybe, it is possible now! I know I use another forum for computer related issues and they give the thread creator the option to mark his/her thread as solved if they feel it has been solved. It is very convenient and works great when you are going through threads to see what still needs to be solved and such. It makes the admin, moderator, and help staff's job a lot easier as they can view just the ones that needed worked instead of searching through them all. It would defiantly be something worth pushing for! [:D]

Actually, I just thought of something. We can edit our titles, which will allow us to mark our threads as solved. Basically, all you would have to do is edit the first thread posting and place something like [SOLVED] after the Subject title. Works perfectly!

David, I think maybe in front of the Subject line might be best. The post where you discovered this for example, doesn't make its "status" clear until you open it! :)
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
