Software Deployment Question

Lync is not installed using MSP

09/15/2014 12112 views
Hi there,
I've created a MSP file to install Office silently. Lync is marked to install but it wont.... No Icon, no EXE.
If I start the Setup.exe to add a feature, lync seems to be installed. Need to be removed and added to get it finally successfully installed.

Anyone the same problem? Ideas to fix?

Mike

Use an updated OCT released by Microsoft - http://blogs.technet.com/b/odsupport/archive/2014/03/21/lync-2013-and-onedrive-for-business-are-not-installed-when-installing-office-2013-with-service-pack-1.aspx

  • As ever, check the log after the first failure. It's in %TEMP% folder.

I suspect a reboot is required.
  • The Return Code is 0, no reboot needed and after a reboot lync is still not there...
