Hi all,

I have tried to ask this in the deployment forum but no luck, perhaps this is more a msi question after all.
today I had the strangest problem, on a fresh imaged winXP box we did a
Lotus notes install with zenworks
we are installing notes with msi/mst putting datafiles in %userprofile%\local
settings... working great but not this time all data files ends up in doc
and settnings\localservice\application data...
It's a per user install of lotus so the first part of the install only put the program file in place (this is force run msi install in zenworks) and the second part of the install is when the user launches lotus (this is the part when the files ends up in the wrong place)
Has anybody seens this before?
I have tried this on several computers about 30-40 % have this problem dosn't matter if its a clean install or upgrade of Notes, not the same image on the computers so I don't think its a image problem
The Notes version is 6.5.4
Any help appriciated

After searching Lotus taq I found this

Multi-user install creates data folder in LocalService directory rather than user's directory
Technote (FAQ)

The Data folder for a Lotus Notes® installation is created in the wrong directory during a multi-user client install on Microsoft® Windows® XP.

After completing the multi-user install the admin noticed that the Data folder was created in the following directory, rather than the user's directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Local Settings\Application Data\Lotus\Notes\

The data folder should instead be located in the User's directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\UserProfile\Local Settings\Application Data\Lotus\Notes\

In this particular case the problem was caused by the anti-virus software on the user's workstation, Symantec version After the customer disabled the software the multi-user install worked correctly.

I quess case is closed
