Every morning we login to about 8 different servers to check out the status of our backups. I am looking for a way for our KACE 1000 to pull the log information from Symantec Bakcup Exec and email the results. Anybody doing this or have suggestions on a way to accomplish this?

  • If they logs are stored in the event viewer you can use the Event Log Report example under Scripting > Configuration Policies to create a new script that will look at the logs and bring them into the KBOX for you to view.

    If there is a log file that is created you can create a script using the built in wizard options to upload the file and then you can view the file in the KBOX.

    OR you can use Custom Inventory Rules to do a Shell command text return of the data in the file and again view in the KBOX under the device it ran against.
