License asset expiration date notification
Is the expiration date in the license asset field supposed to trigger a notification? If not, has anyone created this. I would like to generate a notification of impending license expiration...not sure how...

No assets trigger any type of notifications by default. Take a look at the thread about email notification on help desk tickets - http://itninja.com/question/faulttree-109953. You need to use the same principles to create a rule to notify you when the expiration date is less than 30 days from the current time. I'd write the rule for you, but your asset tables and field numbers are probably not the same as mine.

Like Andy said, it depends on your table setup. First find out what table the information is stored in, then your can probably just use a simple select statement, something between now() and date_add(now(), INTERVAL 90 days)

Thanks guys, but I am not familar with the underlying DB structure and only slightly more familar with SQL query...I make do with Report Wizard or stealing existing code...
