Knowledge Base Article Authors

Is there a way to report on who put up an article in the KACE knowledge base? I noticed a possible solution, but it is a link to Quest of which I do not have an account. We have KACE Version: 7.0.121306

Knowledge Base doe not have a column selection for User or Author.

  • Thanks JasonEgg for the information! Oh well, going forward that will help. The history was not turned on, that was why I was hoping for a report that pulled logged in user when the article was entered.

For this type of report, you need to enable history retention for the Knowledge Base by going to Settings > History > Objects (under "Subscriptions") and then checking the desired check-boxes under "Knowledge Base". You will not be able to report on anything that happened before these settings are applied.

You can view a pre-built report by going to Settings > History > Objects (under "Reports") then select "Knowledge Base" from the "View By:" drop-down. Again, if you just enabled history for KB then there will be nothing in the report (until a change occurs).
