Kbox Disk Space Managment

Does anyone know if there are any good articles on cleaning up used space on the k1000 appliance?

I understand how to clean off useable and unusable patches from the system. I do not understand how to free up used space from the upload of managed installations. If you upload a installation how to you delete it out of the system to get that space back?

Managed installs are tied to software titles. Just delete the software title with the installer attached from Software Inventory. You'll lose inventory data for that title temporarily, but the KBOX will recreate it automatically and adjust the count as clients check back in with the software.

Make sure you also check unused patches and reclaim that space as well. That is under SETTINGS > PATCH SETTINGS and get in EDIT MODE and DELETE UNUSED PATCHES.

In addition to the above comments-
Check your patch subscriptions regularly and ensure your sub is still accurate for your needs.
Note that you can also more efficiently manage disk space for patching by downloading only certain patch labels in 5.2 release.
Also check your Package management tab under settings if you import/export objects- that can waste space as well.
Rating comments in this legacy AppDeploy message board thread won't reorder them,
so that the conversation will remain readable.
