I was watching the last virtual user group webinar and saw they were using a pre-install script that automates the boot selection for Bios or UEFI mode. I searched for the script and was not able to find.

Does anyone use similar script? Currently it's a manual process for us we select different boot option for uefi or legacy and would save us some time.

Thank you.

  • A pre-installation task, will be unable to automate a BOOT Selection.

    That is not possible.

You will still need to select it from Boot Menu or modify the boot order in your BIOS.

Do you have a link to that Webinar? (I miss it)

You can refer to this article to get the tasks you are seeking.  https://www.itninja.com/blog/view/bios-uefi-combined-tasks
This is a great alternative until upgrading to 6.1, which will include these tasks by default.
