I have had the KACE 1000 and 2000 appliances now for a little over a year and have been very satisfied.  However, for reasons unknown to me about one month ago the KACE patching stopped (for the most part).  Roughly about 5-10% of my workstations and servers still get the notice.  I have two rounds of patching that I push out--weekly for security patches and monthly for misc (Adobe, Java, etc.). Both are getting the same results

Again, most of the stations do not receive the message anymore for the KACE patches and only two of my servers receive it.  I have manually ran both patch schedules as well as rebooted the appliance, and still receive the same results.  Is there something else I can test on the appliance or on the client machines?

  • Check you patch subscription setting to see if the subscription has expired
  • what version is your k1000
  • I'm at 5.5.90548 right now. I tried to up it to 6.0.101863 but it errors with "Can't Open Output File"
  • get in touch with kace support and get your kace updated to the latest version. then have them fix your patch problems. do not tinker around on your own.
