Kace Patching Broken?

Maybe it is something with my settings but ever since the 6.3 update it seems that patching is broken in the sense that the amount of patches showing up are not what they used to be.   I have subscription labels set up and some of them seem to be working but others do not.   For example I have labels to detect software from Apple such as iTunes and Quicktime but when I search individual patches it only shows older versions of the software and not more recent ones.   However when I go to Patching Subscriptions and click on the patch label for the apple software it shows a more recent version of iTunes and Quicktime than what comes up in the search.  It says it is download disabled with no option to make it active.

So far the only patches that seem to be working are the ones I have set up for Adobe Flash, AIR, Shockwave, and Reader.  Java may be downloading too but I am unable to determine that.   At any rate the amount of patches and the ability to locate and activate patches seems to be much more difficult than it was in the past.   I am uncertain if this is something affecting all appliances or if something is wrong with my appliance or settings.

There is a bug in the view, try changing your view settings this way:

  • I have tried that too. Still does not show things like iTunes 12.x or QuickTime 776 but when I go to my patch label and look for associated patches it shows two lines for later versions like below:

HT6493 Apple QuickTime 7.7.6 (7.76.80.95) for Windows (See Notes)
HT6537 Apple iTunes 12.0.1 (12.0.1.26) for Windows (See Notes)

Maybe something with my detection label is messed up. I will try re-creating it as it may only be affecting apple applications that I cannot see - bwilkerson 9 years ago
    • could be your impact level, if you are only getting critical they will not show they are impact "recommended" - SMal.tmcc 9 years ago
      • I have mine set for

        All Types

        All Publishers

        All Impacts

Operating System Patches (which I generally do not use) are set for All Types and All Impacts as well - bwilkerson 9 years ago
