KACE Managing Windows Update Stops Explorer.exe

We have our K1000 managing our Windows patching.  The last couple of months we have issues where during the updates explorer.exe stops.  You see the user's desktop no icons no taskbar etc.  The only way to get it back is to bring up task manager and start new task explorer.exe or of course just reboot.

This happens on both Windows 7 and Windows 10.

We have updates scheduled for Wednesday mornings at 8:30.  Is anyone else having the same or similar issue?
